I went to the "6th Global Chinese Music Awards" held at the Singapore Indoor Stadium. Casin had free tickets to this event as her BF won a competition organised by Nokia. She had a pair and so she brought me along. Since it was free, so we shouldn't have complained about the seats. We had seats that were quite far, but never mind la. Can see can already. At least i was there to watch the award ceremony and to listen to the various artiste performing live.
Not everybody sang live. Jocie Guo did not. She sang the "Ga Ga" song. The rest of the guests all sang live. Jocie won the Female Newcomer award together with 3 others. Rainie (TW) and Jaclyn (HKG) were really not bad. I was pretty impressed with Jaclyn's live performance and her voice was very nice too. Joey (HKG) sang very well too! Like her very much since the award ceremony. (I'm listening to her song now) Andy Lau was the hottest of the night. He had the loudest cheer and i was totally attracted to him. So gentlemen and so man. No wonder he is called the "Tian Wang". Stephanie was very powerful! So skinny but have a tremendously powderful voice. S.H.E. was very natural and were very themselves. Ella was especially cute. Maybe alot of people have question marks to wad Ella is trying to do but i find her cute. Nothing wrong. She likes Tank ma.. and when Tank was singing the duet with her fellow sister, Selina, of course she would give as much support as possible too. I think there is nothing wrong with that and she was being herself! Tank was very good, had a great voice. Cao Ge was good too. Fish was very stable as usual. Great live! The Opening of the award ceremony was by Kelly, Wei Lian, Jun Yang and Gong Shi Jia. Quite nice.. i think WeiLian did the best and Kelly not bad. Alright.. Kelly was signed by Yao Qian Lao Shi (8 years contract), she going to go Taiwan this end of the year. She will come back different.
Actually most of the singers that performed, they have the standard already. Watching the award ceremony, made me think. All this people that were singing, they are "there" already. Their live really not bad. Maybe also because this people who are performing already know that they confirm have prize when they are here. So those who are here to get a prize of course can sing. Made me think.. actually a lot of people can sing.. all this people can sing very good live too.. now it all goes to luck. Whether you really make it there a not.. depends on your luck.
I didnt finish the whole ceremony because i need to rush back to JB. I took a bus from Stadium then drop at Suntec then walk from there to the Bus area. Reached the Queenstreet there at 12am and was very shock to see that there are still buses available and so took one back and reached Mobil around 12.45am like that. Messaged my sister and asked her to come down and fetch me. Too bad.. she was busily enjoying her time at Modesto. Very sad.. she rather have her fun then come fetch me. Ask me to take cab somemore. Take cab in JB at 1am. So dangerous. Stood there until 2am before i found KimHau on my contacts in my phone. Only called him and he came straight away. He was so cool,! He can even tell when i lied to him that i have people coming to fetch me already (which i dun have.. cos i heard Kim Hau like sleeping already). But he asked me not to worry and he will come down immediately to come down and fetch me. So touched! Had tears in my eyes when he said he would come down.
Sunday
Woke up around 1pm. My mum and i went out to Hong Kong Boy to have our lunch. Then while we were talking, i told mum i know this place in town that sells snapple very cheap. Then i had the mood to bring my mum into Singapore to have a walk so i asked her whether she wants to go to Singapore. Then we can go buy the cheap cheap snapple for Richard. So we went home to fetch TingTing then we head our way to Singapore. We went to Orchard Road first, then we had dinner at Takashimaya - Pepper Lunch. It was TingTing and Mummy's first time to taste pepper lunch. They loved the beef..
Then after dinner we had a short walk at Takashimaya and went to look for CheeYen at Wisma (Citigems). Had a short chat then we went to take our car at Orchard Hotel and i drove them to Raffles City. We went to the "Jason's MarketPlace". Found out cheap cheap Snapple @ only $1.75. Malaysia was selling at RM6.50. Richard loves to drink but Malaysia is selling is too expensive already! hope he likes it! Then it was already around 10+ and since CheeYen is going back to JB as well, we fetch him from Orchard again and we head back to JB! Dropped him off at his home and then i finally can go home and rest because i am working the very next day.
Finally.. some quality time i spent with my family..
