S.B. Simple to Be

one Friday... 16 January 2009..

a friday that i need to return to Singapore.
ends my business trip in Dubai.

early morning.
it was cloudy when we woke up.
i woke up later.
lady boss was already awake using her computer when i woke up.
perhaps cos i slept later.
thats why i woke up later.
i stayed up the previous night to watch the CNN news on the flight that landed at the Hudson River in America.

then i prepared.

we went out for something to eat before we go somewhere else - like.. shopping?

it was raining earlier.

so the ground was slightly wet.

we were lucky that the rain went away when we were going out.

at least it didnt spoil our day.

we were able to walk around.

these photos were taken around my hotel.
as we were searching for a place for our breakfast.

so.. it rains in Dubai too! =P

we settled at this cafe.
for cinnamon buns.

i had one! really yummy eh! i like it!

there,
we chatted for some time.

chatted about everything.

her family,

my family,

managed to understand more about lady boss already.

we were also figuring out where we should go so that we can get a cab to go a shopping mall.

while we were chatting,

we saw this cab stopping right infront of the cafe.

the can was dropping off it's passenger.

so we hop on.
we were going to the Emirates Shopping Mall.

which had a skating Arena inside the shopping mall.
..

we alighted at the taxi stand.

walked into the shopping mall.

we came walking by the foodcourt that had my jaw dropped to the floor!

this is the setting inside the food court! they had setting on the table for their FOODCOURT!

look at the beverage counter. so nice!

nice and clean right!?? =)

i wonder how much the food there will cost. =P

then,

Lady boss called me over when i was taking pictures of the Dubai Food court.

there it was!!!

IT WAS THE ICE SKATING ARENA!!

you can see the people ice skating from the foodcourt!

the ice skating place is HUGE! HUGE HUGE HUGE!
it is a HILL/MOUNTAIN.

it has a slope!!!!

it is as if you were really at a mountain!

while we were at the highway,

while we were driving past,

lady boss and the OM did asked me to look at the shopping mall from the outside.

and i could see this huge covered slanted building.

and it was this ice skating Mountain - man-made in Dubai!

Goodness.

they could skate down a mountain in Dubai and INDOORS.

so we went shopping.
i bought something for boyfriend.
went to look at the LV there.
didnt buy much stuffs.

things are actually quite costly there.
=)
..

after shopping, we decided to go back to our apartment area for lunch.
maybe some coffee again.

the have a short rest at the apartment before we prepare to leave for the airport.

we went to a Mexican Restaurant.

but it was not nice de. =(

we had a great lunch together as we chatted while we were having lunch.

then i told lady boss i wanted to go to the beach for a while to take some photos.

she accompanied me to the beach!

haha!

cos, she was actually very afraid of the sunlight.

the sun was shining very brightly by noon.

so she walked me to the beach and even helped me to take some photos.

for your information,

around August in Dubai, temperatures can go as high as 45 (or above) degrees celsius.
i think human beings really strong creatures.

how come so HOT then will not melt also?

we bought some cakes/tarts for a small coffee session at our apartment.

aiya whatever arh! i call it hotel or apartment.. whatever! =P

so we had a short rest on our own.

i had another HOT WARM BUBBLE BATH. heheeeee...

then,

we went downstairs to get a cab on our own.

OM was going to stay in Dubai longer.

we had a bit of difficulty climbing onto the car.
wahaha...

but it was very comfortable.

we arrived at the Dubai airport.

had a VIP lane for SQ flights!

my god!

we cut thru all those queueing up and went straight to the check-in counter.

Lady BOss went to her Business Class Counter and checked in for me!

so we had a speedy check-in!

so good!

then we went to buy some stuffs at the Dubai Airport.

Dubai Airport, was really-really-really SMALL!!
