it is the Baking session!!!!
our bake-a-cake class.

yeap,
the 4 of us went together.

materials to start with.

enjoying every moment if it.

start to make the mixture to bake.

DONE!! LOL.
we were given the ready-made cake.

there was a mirror in our class room.
the class was small which is good.
so that the teacher can guide us along and to see how each of us are doing.

only 5 of us that afternoon.
if there were only 4 of us it will be even better.
=P

the cake mixture that we made earlier was baking inside the oven.

still playing around with the tools supplied..

now... we have to remove the ugly skin.

this is the cake that is de-skinned..

now.. we need to use that thing my sister is holding to slice the cake.

we need to slice the cake and make 3 layers.

everybody is concentrating so that the different layers can be sliced evenly.

we had to do the same to the second layer of the cake too.

at last, we have to cover/decorate/finish the cake with the whipped cream to prepare the cake for decorating.

the main point of the class was to learn how to decorate the cake.

.
perhaps i shouldnt call it the bake-a-cake class.
we should call it the cake-decorating class.

i was doing it slowly and this is how my cake looks after filling 2 layers of peach in between the cake layers.

and my cake when it is properly covered with whipping cream.

then we have to learn how squeeze the basic cream decorations.

a transparent plastic sheet was given to us to put it on top of the photos and so that we can draw on top of it to learn.

after practicing, we can start to design and decorate our own cake.

i think we decorated pretty well :

her cake was actually a face potrait of a girl.
there is a fringe, her hair was at the sides of the cake done by chocolate rice.
LOL.
so cute!!!

i was wondering what i should do to mine.
as sister's cake was the one to bring home, so the cake that i am decorating will be given to boyfriend.
so i decided to do something that he likes.
he likes tortoise!!!
so.......

a tortoise that was stucked at a min-mini small pond that is only just-nice for his size.
there is also a footpath around the pond and there were flowers and green-green grass around.

i liked my cake!! =)

it was already in the evening by the time we finished the class.
the boys had already finished their work and they were already in Town.
Shelby had to go back and meet Eric so she went back to Kulai on her own.
Summer took my car down to town to meet up with the rest.
by the time we reached Town,
the boys were at the HOMEFAIR at the convention centre in JB.
so we went straight to the convention centre to meet them up. .

Summer and AhLiew then had their time picking some wall stickers and Sofa for their new home.

the rest of us sort of followed along and looked around.
.
.
i realised, there were so many furniture shops in JB!
the design companies were very impressive too!
JB is such a small town and yet there were so many competitions.
i was really amazed at the turn out from the HOMEFAIR.

.
i bought something tooo.
i bought a new Queen bed for my parents.
=)
.
.
the spring of their bed was already in a very bad condition.
i saw a bed while looking around and following Summer and AhLiew.
as they were negotiating the price of the Sofa that they were buying, i saw this bed and upon understanding, i decided to buy.
=)

they bought the Sofa too.
=)

another Sunday gone.
