Friday, 08 August 2008.

as i was saying,
as there will be no coming to office last Saturday due to National Day,
and Gong drove in on thursday,
i met him after work so that we could go back together.
he met his friends in the afternoon at Suntec last Friday,
then he came back to BB to fetch me once he finished his movie,
and we immediately proceeded to Singapore Custom as we were afraid that there would be an even serious jam if we delayed.

on the way back.. in the car...

and true enough...
luckily we didnt delay too long...
because...

there was already a serious jam when we reached the Singapore custom at 6.20pm.

last time, i wouldnt be able to reach the Singapore custom that early. because i finish work at 6pm and the by the time i reached the custom (if driving or Boyfriend picked me up), the earliest will also be 7.15pm because of all the jams in the town, etc.

i couldnt imagine if i had reached at that time.

i was so hungry by the time we reached JB.
and i had the cravings for soupy stuffs.
so i decided for the ma la steamboat at Modern Revelation.
and so we went!!
we ordered a small set since there were only the 2 of us.
and we ordered the very nice bubble tea too. - honey Jasmine. ;)
Boyfriend also showed me the Braun Buffel wallet which his 2 Engineer colleagues bought for him.
it was very nice!
after the dinner,
we went to Jusco Tebrau City and we managed to buy tickets for one of the movie. - KungFu Girl.
a Japanese movie talking about Shalin Kungfu
directed by Stephen Chow.
the show is a bit lame.
but some of the fighting parts i like.
overall,
it is a very weird movie.
something like the Shaolin Soccer but story line is totally different.
Shaolin Soccer is nicer.
went home after that and sis showed us something that she bought.
the ULTRA-BIG poker cards.
and they started to play dai di.
the cards are really big! so cute!
but i think it might be a bit difficult to hold more cards because of it's size.
it was the Olympics opening ceremony last friday night.
as Gong and I missed it due to our dinner and movie.
but we reached home at around 12am.
and managed to catch the final part - the lighting of the fire torch.
then there was a repeat of the opening i guess,
Boyfriend wanted to watch.
but i slept first because of plain tired-ness.
heard that ahwen came in the middle of the night after watching the repeat of the show from his home.
he came,
but boyfriend and I were already asleep.
believed my sis was still awake.

Saturday, 09 August 2008..
Happy National Day Singapore! - 43rd Birthday!
anyway,
we woke up around 10.30am.
YC and ahwen were already not at home.
heard that ahwen woke YC up early in the morning and they went to Ahwen's house together.
they were going to Singapore together for Nel's hut gathering for Nel's Bday.
Mum just woke up too.
so the 3 of us prepared and went out for our breakfast at the nearby fishball noodle shop!
have been having it every weekend that i return home now.
the taste suits my taste bud really well!
then we dropped mummy at home, before we made our way to Kulai.
although we did a few turns as i forgot to bring my swimming suit.
although we didnt swim at all...LOL.
then we went to buy the bai bai stuffs for BB house.
then we went to baby's house.
Aunty was at home.
i rested abit while he packed his stuffs.
and i played with XiangXiang too.
the adorable kid which Aunty is taking care of now.
although the previous ZheZhe is cuter.
=P
we said goodbye to Aunty,
before we went to the Giant at IOI mall to get some snacks for our overnight stay.
Baby loves noodles...
especially Mee Goreng..
of course we must get some cup noodles in case we go hungry at night.
after grocery shopping,
we headed for the Palm Resort in Senai.
i love the last pic taken with Baby..
his smile is so cute!
hehe... i like...
*=P*
we became member since last year.
the membership is under Boyfriend's name.
we need to pay a membership fee in order to use its facilities.
we will also have a few certificates that comes together with the membership..
such as the free night stay certificate which we used last weekend for a night at Sofitel, Palm Resort.
we will enjoy special discounts at the restaurants inside the hotel.
other than all these benefits,
we even enjoy special rates from all Accor group hotels all over the world.
actually we can use the free night's stay in Novotel, Singapore or etc.
but we decided to choose somewhere near home.
where we could be more comfortable.
therefore, i find it quite worthwhile to sign up for the membership.
we are intending to extend the membership for another year.
in order to go to the Palm Resort,
we need to drive through a 'small' road which is a shortcut for people from Kulai.
and this 'small' road actually enables us to see the run-track of the planes arriving/departing Senai Airport.
so we reached the resort,
parked xiaobai and we checked in with our free night stay certificate as well as our confirmation letter through internet.

however,
quite disappointingly,
we got a room that is on the first level.
it would be better if we could get a room that is on higher floors.
should have requested for higher floors when he informed us that we are on the ground level.
nevertheless,
the room and all others were perfect.
our snacks... YUmmY~~!
the coke was actually for the bottle of Chivas which we brought along from home.
but Baby wasnt in the mood for alcohols.
so we didnt drink much in the end.
Baby and I,
when we came out for our dinner at the hotel.
after walking around and seeing what is available,
we decided to settle down for the buffet dinner - Fishermans' Night.
we settled down for a table outside at the Alfresco area.
we were hungry,
so we went to get food as soon as we sat down and after ordering our drinks.

i like the place alot..
especially the interior of the restaurant,
where the rest of the buffet food lies.
outside is where all the seafood were.
a chinese chef cooking chinese-style and the Malay chef BBQing fish for us.
i like this restaurant alot because it is very nice..

the Japanese restaurant next to us looks nice!
will go there next time if there is a chance.
since we'll be getting discounts if we dine-in.

alright, our favourites from the buffet is the...

1. IKAN BAKAR

2. Tomyam Soup

3. Lemak Crab

the rest of the food.. normal.. nothing really great..

my dearie Baby Gong loves the crab so much! he ate around 5 of them!!

our table where we sat..

the desserts.. very normal tooo... but the coffee was good!

Baby enjoying his dessert...

i will definitely be back for the Japanese food.
ahwen recommended too!

the restaurant where we had our dinner,
hmmm... looks so nice and romantic.

we walked around enjoying the night view of the resort. it's really very nice and romantic holding hands with Baby and enjoying the night view. the special night-lights which they had captured all my attention.. ;)

the lightings at the lobby area!

the lights are so beautiful and nice!

we set the camera on timer and took photos together at one of the couches at the lobby area.

and Baby helped me to take a picture at the steak restaurant with it's beautiful table cloth! hehe... and romantic candle-lit dinner.

we can come back for this restaurant too! ;)

the HUGE lobby area is filled with beautiful lightings and lights,
and there was a water fountain at the main entrance where all the guests will see when they walk in.

serves as a waiting area for me, while i waited for Baby becuase he was walking around and looking at the designs of the place. first time when we could take our own sweet time to look at the hotel lightings at night.

i quickly grabbed Baby to take pictures with me, when he walked past.

then we return to our hotel room for our gaming session.

there is this hotel lift lobby and the entrance to the corridors of the rooms on the ground level. the corridors are huge and well-lit with wall lamps. ;)

our room entrance.. and a photo of myself taken from the full length mirror in our room.

that's US, playing the Jap version of Dynasty Warriors on the PS 2. we watched a movie along the way too. watched the olympic games too. we can multi-task! hehe... =P

until we fall asleep...

earlier that evening, before we went for our dinner, ahwen & YC came to look for us to pass us the PS 2 as well as passing ahwen his ATM card which he left with me before he went back to JB.

afterwhich, they made their way to Singapore to meet the ZPGYs at Sentosa, celebrating Nel's Bday.

hope you enjoy yourself Nel, and you will be really glad with all your friends there. ;)

thank you for your understanding for my absence.

Sunday, 10 August 2008

woke up around 11.30am the next morning.

missed the breakfast time.

nevermind, we can cook our noodles.

we ate 1 mee goreng the previous night.

and so we ate another 2 cup noodles and left with the last 1 which we will bring home.

the view from our room! very nice!!
feels fresh to pull open your curtains and find yourself staring at all the greens.
Wow!!
so comfortable!

then we bathed and prepared to check out.
after checking out,
we went for our brunch at the Chinese restaurant in the hotel.

we went to Xin Shan Long..

and they do serve Dim Sum after 11pm.

thats so nice!!

as we still have our cup noodles from the morning in our stomach.. we only ordered a few of MY FAVOURITES.. as i chose from the Menu. and whatever i eat... Baby eats! hehe..

the Dim Sum we ordered!

and believe it or not, all these are halal!

Nobody would have noticed it because to me, they were really delicious and full of ingredients inside.

although most of the Dim Sum i ordered consists of prawns, the prawns were very fresh. it makes everything so enjoyable to eat because of its freshness and the Dim Sum is GOOD~!

and i love the ambience there! very class and neat.. the staff there are very polite and nice too.

we had an enjoyable time eatin! the food is nice, the ambience is good and of course.. i had Baby and he had ME.. so... it was really nice... :)
the power of the Accor Membership card!!
50% off the bill of the food that we just ate..
we calculated..
and we only spent S$17.00 for all that food, ambience and service.
photo-taking sessions of the hotel premises before we left.
Baby needs to go to work in the afternoon,
so we couldnt really hang around too long.
he still needs to send me home before he can drive back home,
and prepare to go to work at 3pm.
i've brought carrie here before,
and she fell in love with the place too.
i took a lot of pictures for her too. ;)
baby and I...
last picture to mark the end of our weekend getaway at Sofitel, Palm resort.
nice!!
baby...
i love you..
you love me..
let's be a happy family..
with a great big hug and a kiss from me to you..
wont you say you love me too! ;)

BYE SOFITEL!!

but we will surely be back for Palm resort!

will be putting the membership under my name for next year, as Dear will be super busy with his work and so i will still be able to come to Palm Resort for a swim with my family or friends.

not only swimming, but Jacuzzi, Sauna, Tennis?? anybody?? etc.

and also earn another free night's stay! :)
