Last Working Day at McQuilling

13th February 2010.... Saturday....

it is the REUNION DINNER time!!!!!!
.
.
we only managed to get Saturday off this year.
although it was done with a huge difficulty.
=)
.
.
went over to popo's house in the late afternoon.

our all time chef!!!
perhaps there were too much work to do for reunion dinner.
therefore, we were just going to have normal reunion dinner and not the steamboat for reunion dinner.
.
.
our dishes for the dinner: -

nice fried fish.

not enough seats and these 2 were the youngest kids of all and they were sitting at the living room right infront of the tv.

which they were also very very happy with.

=)

we youngsters have another smaller table to ourselves too.

yes... HE IS BACK from KL!!!!

someone opened the new bottle of soya sauce and instead of throwing the cork away, he stuffed the cork into the soya sauce bottle that popo uses.

after dinner, we sat around watching tv and chatting loudly.

the house was very noisy.

that is the spirit of Chinese New Year!

to be noisy!!!!

热闹!!!!

the small little girl... my cousin.. she was helping our chef and popo to make the vegetarian dishes for our 大年初一.

we always had to be vegetarian for the whole day on the first day of the Lunar New Year.

she was such a good girl to help cutting the ingredients while the rest of us were chatting loudly and watching tv outside.

we stayed until it was almost time for us to get to the temple.

as per usual like every year now,

we will proceed to the temple for countdown as well as 接财神.

=)

oh ya!!! talking about this..

i just remembered that POPO won lottery on the night we had our reunion dinner!

so this year,

we got our hongbaos before 大年初一.

popo gave out cash money first.

then she gave out hongbaos!!!

woohooo!

she is soooo LUCKY!!!

she bought this number because there was a car infront of her that day.

there was nothing special about it but she felt like buying.

so she bought the number and there she is... STRIKING LOTTERY for CNY!!!!

so lucky!!!!

so i was talking about us going to the temple.

Azi and Richard came too.

the clock strikes 12 and HAPPY LUNAR NEW YEAR!!!

this year, there were more people who came down to the temple to countdown and like last year, someone brought the firecrackers tooo.

it was very LOUD!!!!

we wanted to drive the car away but we were too late.

they had already lit the firecracker.

.

.

.

just like what will happen every year,

the temple is a great place to watch the many, many, many, fireworks that was going on from all the residents living around the temple.

the fireworks went on and on and on and on and on...

it didnt stop even when we were makin our way home.

it got lesser but it didnt stop.

YAY!!!

HAPPY LUNAR NEW YEAR!!!!

fireworks were more this year.

maybe this year was better for everybody.

however, we saw a great increase in the number of 孔明灯 this year.

there were so many 孔明灯 this year!!!!

we went for supper at the Mamak stall at Tun Aminah before we went home.
